Coronilla libanotica Boiss.

Life-form & habit : Perennial chamaephyte; stems ascending to decumbent, slender, branched, glabrous or sparsely pubescent, forming loose tufts.

Leaves : Alternate, imparipinnate; leaflets 5–9, obovate to elliptic (5–15 mm), entire, glabrous; terminal leaflet slightly larger; stipules small, caducous.

Inflorescence & flowers : Axillary umbels, several-flowered; peduncles slender; flowers papilionaceous, yellow; calyx campanulate; standard broad, wings and keel shorter.

Fruit : Loment elongated, segmented, slightly curved, glabrous; segments separating at maturity, each containing a single seed.

Phenology : Flowers from April to June; fruiting from May to July.

Habitat & elevation : Rocky slopes, open shrublands and montane grasslands, often on limestone; 800–1800 m.

Lebanese distribution : Mount Lebanon and Anti-Lebanon; local.

Native range : Lebanon-Syria, Türkiye.
