Bolanthus hirsutus (Lab.) Bark.

Life-form & habit: Small, woody-based perennial, 10–20 cm tall. Stems and leaves velvety.
Leaves: Oblong-ovate, short, 3–4 mm long.
Inflorescence & flowers: Axillary flowers, solitary or in small groups (2–3) at the tips of branches; pedicels very short.
Calyx: Velvety, tubular-campanulate, 3–4 mm long, with very short teeth.
Corolla: Petal blade oval, entire, white, as long as the calyx.
Phenology: Flowers from June to August.
Habitat & elevation: Rocky mountain slopes.
Lebanese distribution: Mm. East of Ehmej, Cedars of Bcharré, Cedars and above, above Ehden, Dimane, Bân, Saydat el-Hosn; Me. Foum el-Mizhab; Ve. Hermel.
Syrian distribution: A.L. Ouadi el-Qarn; Jab. Halimé.
Native range: Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Sinai. (KEW)
