Life-form & habit: Erect annual, 20–40 cm tall, leafy, ending in a corymbose inflorescence.
Leaves: Cauline leaves glaucous-green, triangular-ovate, fully connate at the base into an entire, elliptical, perfoliate blade not constricted at mid-length.
Inflorescence & flowers: Corymbose clusters.
Calyx: Divided to the base into 8 subulate, uninerved lobes.
Corolla: With oblong, obtuse lobes.
Fruit: Not described in detail by Mouterde.
Phenology: Flowers from February to September.
Habitat & elevation: Moist places, near seepages.
Lebanese distribution: Ct. Nahr Damour, Ras Beyrouth, Nahr el-Kelb, Nahr Ibrahim; Mi. ‘Abey, Jeba‘a, under Beit Méri, ‘Ain Zehalta, Mayrouba, Faraya; Mm. Dimane to Hadeth, Hasroun, Bcharré–Cedars, Blaouzé, Ehden; Herm. Rachaya.
